End of year shutdown

The Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) will be shut-down from close of business Tuesday 24 December 2013, reopening Thursday 2 January, 2014.

During this time the Enquiries line will not be available.

Public holidays can affect an agency’s ability to process freedom of information requests within statutory timeframes, particularly the period of time between Christmas and the New Year when most Australian Government agencies shut down operations. The OAIC has developed Public Holidays and agency shutdown periods guidance to help agencies calculate when a processing period commences and ends during holiday and shut-down periods.
