This year, Privacy Awareness Week (PAW) was held from 3–9 May 2015.
The theme for 2015 was Privacy everyday. This theme emphasised the need for organisations to embed privacy practices into business as usual processes, and for individuals and the community to think about how to protect privacy in their everyday lives.
Privacy is about the protection of an individual’s personal information. It is also about the responsibilities of businesses and the Government when handling that information. We can all do more to spread privacy awareness throughout the community.
The Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) has a number of resources available to help you spread the privacy message throughout your networks, during Privacy Awareness Week and throughout the year.
