Privacy Awareness Week 2012

Privacy Awareness Week is being held from 29 April – 5 May 2012 and is a joint initiative between members of the Asia Pacific Privacy Authorities. OAIC Information Policy Conference 2011 (previous event)

The OAIC hosted its inaugural Information Policy Conference on 15 November 2011 at the National Convention Centre in Canberra. The theme of the conference was; Public Sector Information: A National Resource.

Conference sessions focussed on various aspects of information policy, with a particular focus on the publication of public sector information. Conference speakers included a range of information policy experts, including representatives from Australian Government agencies.

As well, a conference dinner was held on 14 November 2011 at the National Portrait Gallery with Senator the Hon John Faulkner delivering the conference dinner speech.
