Australian Government ministers and most agencies are required by s 93 of the Freedom of Information Act 1982 and reg 5 of the Freedom of Information (Miscellaneous Provisions) Regulations 1982 to submit statistical returns to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) every quarter.

The full 2013–14 dataset is contained in FOI data 2013–14 Excel on data.gov.au, which shows individual agency details, has been extracted from the web based database that agencies directly submit their returns into each quarter.

This data was previously published as appendices to freedom of information annual reports. This data is used to complete OAIC Annual Report 2013–14 Chapter Nine — Agency freedom of information.

Note: The raw data sets from the database will be made available in a CSV (comma-separated values) format on data.gov.au. These datasets do not include automated calculations found in the above document.
