As an Australian or ACT government employee, where can I get more information about my agency's privacy obligations?

Almost all Australian Government (and ACT public sector agencies) have a designated Privacy Contact Officer (PCO). Your PCO should be your first point of contact on privacy-related matters. If you are not sure who your PCO is, ask your agency directly.

While your PCO is your primary privacy resource, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) provides a range of additional information.

For Australian Government employees, please see the Australian Privacy Principles page, Privacy fact sheet 17: Australian Privacy Principles and the Guidelines to the Australian Privacy Principles.

You may also wish to look through the Privacy fact sheets and guides.

For ACT public sector employees,  please see Australian Capital Territory Privacy.
