Have your say on the draft Open Government National Action Plan

The Australian Government has released the draft of the first Open Government National Action Plan for public consultation. Anyone can provide feedback on the plan through a written submission, up until 14 November.

Logo: Open Government PartnershipThe Open Government Partnership (OGP) is an international initiative to increase transparency and strengthen democratic governance. The Australian Government became a member of the OPG in 2015, and the National Action Plan outlines the Government’s commitments to support the OGP’s goals of increasing the transparency and accountability of government, and explains how open data and digital transformation agendas will be delivered.

This public consultation is the final stage of a year-long consultation process. Comments on the draft plan will be used to inform the decisions of the Australian Government on the final plan before it is lodged to the OGP.

Those interested are also invited to attend public information sessions being held across five capital cities for further information about the Open Government Partnership.

The deadline for public submissions on the National Action Plan is 5pm 14 November 2016. You can make a submission by emailing
