The Guidelines to the National Privacy Principle (NPP) have been developed to help organisations to comply with the NPPs and to avoid interfering with an individual’s privacy. The guidelines indicate some factors the Commissioner may take into account when handling a complaint. The guidelines are advisory only and not legally binding.
