Control who can view your Snapchat story

1. Tap the Snapchat icon at the top of your camera screen
2. Tap the settings in the top right hand corner
3. Select 'Who can…' and then 'View my story'
4. Decide if you’d like just 'My friends' or 'Everyone' to view your story
5. You can block specific friends from viewing your story by selecting ‘Custom’
6. Tap the back button to save your selection.

To set your posts to private on Instagram simply:

1. Go to your profile
2. Select the settings icon at the top right of your profile screen
   On an iOS device, the settings icon looks like a gear
   On an Android device, the settings icon appears as three vertical dots
3. Turn on the ‘Private account’ setting.

1. On your computer, go to your profile and select the gear icon at the bottom right of your cover image
2. Select ‘View as’
