New network for privacy professionals launching this June

The OAIC will shortly establish a new Privacy Professionals Network (PPN) bringing together, for the first time, public and private sector privacy professionals in one network.

The PPN is an update to the previous Information Contact Officers and Privacy Connections networks, and the combined network mirrors the unified nature of the Australian Privacy Principles. The combined network will also provide valuable opportunities for privacy professionals across all sectors to compare and learn from each other’s experiences.

OAIC will be holding regular meetings and seminars for PPN members, providing the opportunity to hear from experts, listen to case studies, and network with other members.

We will also ensure that meetings and events are held in locations across Australia. The first meeting of PPN will be held in Perth this June, and further information about future meetings and events will be available soon.

The OAIC will be contacting the existing members of our ICON mailing list to let them know about this opportunity, but if you’d like to sign up you can contact or visit our website for more information.
